Torrance, Calif., December 10, 2012 – In May of this year, Rydeen Mobile Electronics announced the first of its new series of mirrors based on superior build architecture in the MV311S: a high-quality, value-targeted replacement mirror that includes a 3.5-inch color TFT screen to display a back-up camera view. In July, the company produced its second new mirror—the MN312S—replacing its inaugural flagship with better Bluetooth, more robust navigation and integration with driver safety services from Guidepoint Systems™.

At the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Show in Las Vegas, the premier supplier of vehicle safety and navigation products will show the MV311T, a step-up option to the MV311S that adds a temperature and compass display. The MV311T is currently shipping to authorized Rydeen retailers and distributors.

“As with all our new introductions, the MV311T is the result of us listening to our customers,” said Jim Newell, national sales manager. “They asked for an in-between model that still focused on the value-conscious customer, yet delivered a few more options people are used to seeing from factory installed mirrors. The MV311T fits the bill nicely.”

Like its counterpart, the MV311T features the ability to display up to two camera views—one that switches when the vehicle is put into reverse gear—through its inbuilt, behind-glass color monitor, as well as a 10 1/4-inch frame that will fit most vehicles.

The newer model provides dual temperature readings and driving direction display in the upper-right corner with green characters for easy viewing. Sensors for interior and external temperature plug into the MV311T and mount in the corner of the pillar and near the vehicle’s front grille, respectively. The simple compass calibration procedure can be performed by the installing technician, or later by the driver.

The MV311T ships as a standalone kit (mirror, sensors and harnesses) at a suggested retail price of $260. It is also available in a series of kits that pair the mirror with one of six Rydeen rear-view cameras:
