Rydeen Sets Groundwork for Future Autonomous Vehicle Applications using Renesas Chipsets for 3D Level 360-degree Surround View and High Resolution Image Recognition System for Driver Assistance
TORRANCE, CA (01.06.2015) – Rydeen Mobile Electronics, renowned supplier of aftermarket mobile electronics announced today that it has entered into agreements with Renesas Electronics America and Green Hills Software to develop a new generation of 360-Degree Camera Surround View Systems that can provide 3D imagery of the view surrounding vehicle.
The new solution is based on Renesas’ chipsets allows two ground-breaking innovations in automotive surround cameras. First, its 3D capability shows images without the distortion typical of currently available surround systems. Secondly, it provides advanced optical image recognition for pedestrian alerts as well as
detecting the distance between objects and a car. This latter function helps set the bases for future autonomous driving features from Rydeen.
