Rydeen Shipping New Rear-View Camera for Cost-Effective Application
TORRANCE, CA (05.20.2014) – Rydeen Mobile Electronics announced it is shipping its fourth model of its MINy series of cameras and the fifth of its standard mounted camera line. The MINy ME is designed to offer rear view protection in conjunction with an in-vehicle monitor or display radio. The company said the camera’s addition will help retailers cut costs on specific driver safety applications.
“Our retailers asked us for more options to cost-effectively perform installations that didn’t require a camera with a ton of versatility, and we responded,” said Phil Maeda, president of Rydeen. “The MINy ME is a dedicated rear-view camera for standard installations in which the feature set doesn’t need to be changed, and that’s enabled us to offer it a lower price. We anticipate retailers will stock it next to our other cameras in the MINy line as well as the DUO and our other specialty cameras.”
Despite its singular application, the MINy ME includes several features found on more expensive camera models. It overlays the rear image with colored grid lines to assist drivers while maneuvering into tight parking spaces. Its reverse image makes it an ideal partner for most monitors and display radios. The MINy ME features the same housing as all of the other MINy series cameras and includes the same adjustable multi-purpose bracket. And because of the identical weatherproof housing, the MINy ME can be mounted on the same optional license plate bracket (model no. BL01) used with the rest of the line.Each of Rydeen’s cameras is designed to give retailers maximum choice for their customers by highlighting a specific feature aspect.
